What’s happening: Late last week, our friend Andy was in town for recruiting. He decided to stay an extra day in town, so he stayed with us on Saturday. His last name is Raffellini, so we kept trying to get David to say “Andy Raffellini.” At first, he wasn’t really saying it a whole lot, but then he decided that he loved to say it, so he wouldn’t stop. And the funniest part was that he kept saying it different practically every time. Every few minutes, out of nowhere, he would say “Raffafeeny!” Then it would be “Raffaneeny!” Other attempts included “Affa-eeny” and “Affaneeny.” Finally, the one he seemed to stick with was “Affakeeny,” so that became Andy’s name. It cracked us up that he wouldn’t say the easy name, “Andy,” he insisted on saying his last name.
On Saturday, we went to the Penn State All Sports Museum, and needless to say, between all the basketball guys (whom he calls “booky guys”), football guys, various types of balls on display, and numerous lion sightings, David had a fabulous time.
