What’s new: Welcome to the new Young Family blog! Because I’ve been having so much trouble lately with Blogger.com’s site, I decided to alleviate my frustrations for good and move to a different host. This site is much better for a number of reasons, particularly because now you no longer have to log in to leave comments, so anyone can do it–just include your name and email address. So please let me know what you think of what I write, I love to hear from you all!
What’s happening: Daycare is clearly bringing out the artistic side in David. One of my favorite things about going to pick him up on daycare days (aside from how he says “MOMMY!!!!” when he sees me like it’s the most fabulous moment of his life to this point) is seeing his artistic creations. Every day that he’s been in the new, “older-ones” room at daycare he brings home a project that he did that day. They are seriously the cutest things I’ve ever seen. I’m definitely going to be one of those moms who needs to rent a storage unit for everything he makes, draws and/or colors for us, because I am never getting rid of any of these. I’ve included pictures of my two favorite ones so far.
This is a construction paper heart to which he glued numerous small pieces of tissue paper.
The puppet. It cracks me up every time I look at it, mostly because of its fabulous arms and hair. And apparently, it’s supposed to be an owl (either that or its name is Al), because everytime David sees it on our bulletin board he says “Hi Owl/Al!” and the other night when he was going to bed, “Night-night Owl/Al!”
